Technical drawing

This is the only drawing I have finished this week. It is a technical drawing of the jacket I am sewing (yes, I haven't managed to finish anything else because I was too busy sewing).

  1. Immaculate drawing, Gry, as usual. I'm curious to see the end result. Is it blue, black, red, striped?? It reminds me of the patterns my mum used to cut from newspapers, in the days when broadsheets were huge and therefore good for that.

Will you draw the final product please? Or, why not just colour it in?

  2. Hi guys, great to see you still keeping this up! Hey gry, how did you achieve such a precise drawing? Did you have to measure everything to maintain symmetry etc? Also are you using a graphic pen? Great work! I also love love looooove the gorillas! X excellent stuff from you too Sharon! I admit I stole some of your technique for a night sky... X

  4. Hi Pearlyn. I used figure template to sketch the underlying body and then simply drew the jacket on the body. I used a 1 mm pen for the body and a slightly thicker pen (3 or 5 mm) for the outline. It was not very difficult once I had the template.
