I know it's not really an ocean but I wanted to draw this image as it is amazing how in just a couple of months our perception of sea life can so radically change. I ran out of time again...
Good job with the big character in front looking out on the smoke. It creates a sense of space. It made me think of your giant and all the problems you had with him and getting the size right.
And I know all about running out of time. Each week I delay beginning on my drawing and get started too late - once I get started I feel like I could continue for hours. Sometimes it is a bit frustrating, but on the other hand, it makes me really happy that we do this, since I am afraid I wouldn't have drawn anything at all this past month or so if it hadn't been for the blog.
Sharon and Gry began this blog as a way to keeping in touch after meeting on an illustration course called Exploring Illustration. We try to draw a bit every week and post it.
